With over 25 years of experience spanning roles as a special education teacher, K–12 and higher education administrator, nonprofit director, university professor, and consultant, Dr. Wilson has consistently championed access and success for all students. She brings deep expertise in strategic planning, professional development, leadership cultivation, grant administration, and program management to drive meaningful educational change.

Thought Leadership and Advocacy

As a thought leader and advocate, Dr. Wilson influences policy and practice to create supportive, equitable learning environments—particularly for historically underserved students, including first-generation, limited-income, and underrepresented minority learners. Her research has been published widely in scholarly journals, and she has earned national recognition and awards, including NASPA’s 2023 Excellence in Research Award.

Rooted in Personal Experience and Academic Excellence

A first-generation college graduate herself, Dr. Wilson’s personal journey grounds her work in authenticity and purpose. Her academic credentials—ranging from a B.A. in Special Education to a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration—combined with lived experience uniquely position her as a catalyst for positive, systemic change in education.
